🎲 THE BOARD GAME CAFÉ 🎲

A Therapeutic Social Group for Neurodivergent Kids Aged 6-9 yrs old.

Is your child looking for a place where they can meet like-minded peers, build friendships, and feel comfortable being themselves while also learning strategies that support their natural ways of  being?

The Board Game Café is a small, play-based therapeutic group designed for neurodivergent children aged 6-9 yrs old who would benefit from a supportive space to connect with other kids—while building valuable self-regulation and wellness skills along the way.

🧩 Play. Connect. Learn. Belong.

Led by Registered Clinical Counsellor Geoff, children will use board games, card games, LEGO, and cooperative activities to:

✨ Make connections and build authentic friendships
✨ Communicate and working together with other link-minded kiddos
✨ Use emotional regulation and coping strategies to help with big feelings
✨ Practice flexible thinking when things don’t go as planned
✨ Use problem-solving skills and navigating challenges
✨ Build confidence and self-understanding
✨ Use cooperation, turn-taking, and shared decision-making skills

And because this is a neurodiversity-affirming group, our goal is to support each kiddo in better understanding themselves, discover strategies that genuinely work for their brains, build authentic relationships, and experience the confidence that comes from being accepted as they are.

🎲 What makes Board Game Café different?

Games create natural opportunities to navigate winning and losing, unexpected changes, collaboration, communication, frustration, excitement, and problem-solving and this will all be done with the guidance and support of a Registered Clinical Counsellor who can highlight these skills and gently support each child through their experiences.

Groups are intentionally kept small and children will be matched as closely as possible by age and fit, creating a safer and more comfortable environment for connection.
