Uvic Bursary - Supporting Neurodivergent Students at UVic
The Neurodiversity Family Centre is proud to fund an annual $1,000 bursary for a neurodivergent student at the University of Victoria. This bursary reflects our commitment to supporting neurodivergent individuals beyond the counselling room by helping reduce financial barriers to post-secondary education. Through initiatives like this, we hope to invest in the neurodivergent community and help create more opportunities for students to learn, grow, and thrive.

Accessible Counselling Options
We believe finances should not be a barrier to accessing neurodiversity-affirming support. NDFC offers reduced-cost counselling with student counsellors to help make counselling more accessible to individuals and families in our community. Our student counsellors provide compassionate, strengths-based support while completing their professional training under qualified clinical supervision.

Free Live Q&A for Parents & Caregivers
As part of our commitment to accessible community education, NDFC offers free virtual Live Q&A events for parents and caregivers of neurodivergent children and youth. These sessions provide an opportunity to ask questions, learn practical neurodiversity-affirming strategies, and gain guidance on how to support neurodivergent children and youth. Questions can be submitted in advance or asked live, making professional education and support more accessible to our community.

Free Peer Support Groups
Connection and community can make a meaningful difference. NDFC offers free peer support spaces where neurodivergent individuals and families can connect, share experiences, exchange resources, and feel less alone. Our communities includes Facebook groups for parents as well as free peer support groups available through the NDFC Wix app. These spaces are designed to foster connection, understanding, and community outside of formal counselling services.
