Experience with Neurodivergence, Parenting, or Other Relevant Experience for Your Specializations:
I am currently a teacher with over ten years of experience working with children, youth, and families in both school and community settings. I have supported many neurodivergent learners, with a focus on emotional regulation, school engagement, and building on individual strengths. I have also worked closely with families and multidisciplinary teams, which has shaped my commitment to collaborative, neurodiversity-affirming care. As part of my Master of Education in School Counselling, I am completing my practicum at NDFC as a counsellor-in-training.
Approach & Modalities:
My approach is relational, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I am particularly interested in integrating practical skill-building with approaches that support self-understanding and nervous system awareness. I value collaborative, client-centred work that moves at a pace that feels safe and respectful. As a student counsellor, I approach my work with curiosity, care, and a strong commitment to ongoing learning and reflection. I am completing my practicum under the supervision of Mary Klovance.
Communication Style:
I am warm, attentive, and collaborative in my communication style. I aim to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, and I check in regularly to ensure sessions feel supportive and clear. I adapt my communication to each individual, and I often incorporate examples, visuals, or real-life connections when helpful.
Fun Facts or Interests:
I enjoy running, cycling, dancing and spending time at the beach or in the forest, preferably with canine company or while observing local wildlife! I also love language learning and connecting with people across cultures.
