I view neurodivergence, how our brains operate and specialize, as similar to the way I see differences in height. Some people are taller than others, while some are shorter. There is nothing wrong with either trait, being taller or shorter, it is just different. Each has their own strengths, their own needs, and their own challenges because of their height. Neurodivergence is a difference like height because it too comes with strengths, needs, and challenges. Much of the difficulty arises not from the difference itself, but from environments and expectations which were designed for someone else who is not exactly like us. My role is not to change who a client is, but to collaborate in creating understanding and strategies that allow them to live authentically, access their strengths, and thrive as themselves.

Experience & Education:

Over the past 3 years I have had the privilege of working closely with neurodivergent clients, including youth and their families. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, I am specializing in a trauma informed practice to support those who are autistic, ADHD, and gifted.

Approach & Modalities:

I work from an integrative approach, meeting your needs. I draw on Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Gottman Family Therapy and Existential therapy, which allows me to adapt to your unique situation. My hope is to offer a space where you can process and learn, bringing the full breadth of your experience into the room.

Communication Style:

I communicate in a warm, grounded, and collaborative way, prioritizing safety and respect while building genuine rapport. I aim to be clear and accessible in my language, normalizing struggle without minimizing it as I try to meet people where they are. I balance compassion with steadiness, and while I am validating and attuned, I can also be direct when it is supportive, offering both care and clarity in service of growth.

Fun Facts:

I am eclectic in my interests! I love woodworking (I built my own canoe), hiking, camping, playing Dungeons & Dragons, cooking, baking, and watching Disney movies.
