I see neurodivergence as a difference in how we experience the world–one that can bring with it incredible abilities and gifts, as well as challenges. I feel passionately about helping clients uncover and celebrate the amazing things that make them uniquely and beautifully themselves, while also validating the difficulties of living as a neurodivergent person in a world that is often not neurodiversity-affirming.

Relevant Experience:

I have six years of experience working with folks with eating disorders/disordered eating–a mental health challenge that disproportionately impacts Neurodivergent people. During my undergrad degree I worked supporting Autistic youth in community settings.

Approach & Modalities:

My approach is emotionally and interpersonally focused, blending modalities like parts work (Internal Family Systems) and narrative therapy. My goal is to meet people where they are at and create a comfortable and relaxed environment so that clients can feel safe enough to connect.

Communication Style:

My goal is to validate the emotions of my clients so that they feel seen, heard, and understood. Humour is a big part of my identity and I often bring it into the counselling room if I sense it will resonate with people. I also love doing activities during sessions–especially with my youth clients. You will often find us beading, colouring, drawing, or doing puzzles while we chat.

Fun Facts or Interests:

I love spending time with my partner and 4 year old kiddo. My hyperfocus is currently directed at knitting and obsessing over yarn. I also originally trained to be a chef/pastry chef and worked as a private chef in Vancouver for 5 years.
